About Tarot Magazine Project

The Tarot Magazine is a project which is designed for the Information modeling and web technologies course held by Fabio Vitali within the Master’s Degree in Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge of the University of Bologna. The primary mission of this project is not only to represent a website for reading and exploring the content of articles inside a magazine but also the main objective of this project was to deploy magazine issues according to modern and accurate page design which each of them is nicely presented according to changeable, historical documented, typographic themes and enriched with metadata and extra information about the wide range of textual content and different info that can be found in the articles. the tarot magazine contains two issues. Each issue is made of three articles selected by a member of the editorial team that can be read on the same page because they are placed next to eachother. Issues are presented inside a visualizer page, which allows the possibility of navigating across the number, switching typographic styles, and examining meaningful information from a metadata viewer, both for the single article and the related publication. They include a cover page that works as a table of content too. Each article is enriched with metadata that refers to its editorial history, source, and related content information, such as meaningful occurrences of people, places, dates, concepts, and entities. Information is meant to be related to creating a complex network of references across articles of the same issue.
